2023 Accommodation Reservations at 2022 Rates.

Unfortunately, it is becoming almost inevitable that Apartment charges will increase next year due to recent significant increases in energy and associated costs. Financiers are indicating inflation is expected to rise even further this year, peaking at 14%+ in October and beyond.

All 2023 weekly accommodation (with fishing) reservations are available at the present 2022 rates until 31st October. We are aiming to publish all our 2023 rates on the 1st November.

Should there be another “Lockdown” prior to your arrival, we will contact you to discuss refunding all monies paid or if you choose, retain your monies for a 2024 reservation at the 2022 rates quoted.

Fishing Report – 1st August 2022 to 31st August 2022

Lake 1 (Carp) Logbook Catch Reports

  • Ray Margiotta returned for a short break on the 31st July and soon raised the Carp Leader Board with a PB 25lbs Common on the 1st August where Robin Red boilie with a vanilla wafter was the successful bait. Ray’s catch also included Commons weighing 18lbs 2ozs and 15lbs 4ozs plus Mirrors of 19lbs, 12lbs 6ozs and 9lbs 4ozs.

  • 2nd August - Ray landed Mirrors of 19lbs and 18lbs plus a 9lbs Common.

    • 3rd August - using halibut pellet bait, Ray’s catch included 5 x Commons and 2 x mirrors from 9lbs to a 20lbs Mirror.

    • 4 Aug – During the morning Ray landed 8 x Carp including a 20lbs 4ozs Common and a 19lbs 8ozs Mirror and using Robin Red baits in the afternoon, 6 x Commons and a 22lbs Mirror

  • David Hulse visited on the 1st August and using Robin Red boilie baits (8 and 10mm); landed Commons weighing 14lbs 14ozs and 10lbs 9ozs.

  • Regular Danny Smith arrived on the 1st August for a 24-hour session and landed 4 x Carp including Commons weighing 17lbs 2ozs, 16lbs 8ozs and 15lbs plus a 17lbs 4ozs Mirror where krill boilie was the successful bait.

  • Chis Batten began his 72-hour session on the 4th August and using spicy sausage and krill boilie baits landed Carp weighing:

    • 5th August – Commons of 16lbs 2ozs, 13lbs 10ozs, 13lbs 8ozs, 13lbs 2ozs and 10lbs 4ozs plus a 10lbs 2ozs Mirror and a 11lbs 12ozs Leather

    • 6th August – Commons of 12lbs, 11lbs 20zs and 10lbs 2ozs plus a 12lbs 3ozs Mirror

  • Using Cell boilie baits on the 5th August, regular Adrian Burton landed Commons weighing 14lbs 4ozs and 12lbs 8ozs.

  • Bob and Lee Holman arrived on the 7th August for a 24-hour session and both had success:

    • Bob – 18lbs 4ozs Common on tutti frutti

    • Lee – Commons of 13lbs, 12lbs and 7lbs 12ozs using Robin Red baits

  • Rob Ormond and John Simmons arrived on the 9th August for a 36-hour session and had great success landing 18 x Carp including:

    • 9th August – 19lbs 12ozs a PB for Lee, 3 x 16lbs 8ozs, 2 x 15lbs 3ozs, 14lbs, 9lbs and 8lbs

    • 10th August – 17lbs 8ozs, 2 x 16lbs 8ozs, 16lbs, 2 x 15lbs 8ozs, 14lbs and 2 x 12lbs 8ozs.

  • Toby Ryland began his 24-hour session on the 12th August and using fish boilie and manilla boilie baits landed a 10lbs Cat which was returned unharmed to Lake 2 (Carp/Catfish) plus 9 x Carp (Commons and Mirrors) including weights of:

    • Commons – 14lbs 8ozs, 13lbs 8ozs, 11lbs 8ozs, 11lbs and 10lbs

    • Mirrors – 13lbs 8ozs and 3 x 12lbs

  • Arriving on the 13th August for a short break, Colin Holder used coconut and krill boilies to catch 9 x Carp including weights of:

    • Commons – 19lbs, 17lbs, 16lbs, 11lbs and 10lbs (plus 2 x 7lbs from Lake 3 (Mixed) during a tremendous storm)

    • Mirrors – 16lbs 8ozs and 14lbs 8ozs

      During his first fishing experience, when fishing with Colin on Lake 3 (Mixed), grandson Rhys landed a 4lbs Tench – well done!

  • Regular Terry Hare returned on the 16th August and using pacific tuna boilie baits landed Commons weighing 19lbs and 5lbs 4ozs plus Mirrors of 10lbs and 9lbs 2ozs. And again, on the 23rd August when Terry landed 3 x Commons weighing 16lbs 8ozs, 15lbs and 12lbs 12ozs plus a 18lbs Mirror. Staying with pacific tuna boilie baits Terry landed 4 x Commons on the 31st August weighing 13lbs 12ozs, 11lbs 12ozs and 2 x 11lbs.

  • Returning on the 16th August, regular Paul Teakle landed a 15lbs 8ozs Common and a 14lbs Mirror.

  • When experiencing a tremendous downpour on the 17th August, regular Bryan Butler landed Commons weighing 14lbs 8ozs and 12lbs.

  • It was a Red-Letter Day on the 18th August for regular Adrian Burton when he used pacific tuna boilie and Cell baits to catch 16 x Carp including:

    • Commons – 19lbs 4ozs, 17lbs 12ozs, 16lbs 4ozs, 14lbs 12ozs, 14lbs 4ozs, 12lbs 8ozs, 12lbs, 11lbs 12ozs, 11lbs 8ozs, 10lbs 12ozs, 2 x 10lbs and 9lbs 4ozs

    • Mirrors – 14lbs 8ozs, 11lbs 12ozs and 9lbs 4ozs

  • Paul Duncan returned on the 19th August for 36-hour session and using krill wafter baits (and scattering some tempters) landed 7 x Commons including weights of 15lbs, 14lbs 2ozs, 14lbs, 12lbs 4ozs, 11lbs, 10lbs 8ozs and 9lbs 6ozs

  • David and Ken Darvill visited on the 21st August and both had success:

    • David using Robin Red baits – 4 x Commons weighing 2 x 16lbs, 13lbs and 11lbs

    • Ken using chocolate and orange pop-up baits 4 x Commons weighing 16lbs, 2 x 12lbs and 9lbs plus a 11lbs Mirror

  • Regular Adrian Burton and son Brad visited on the 21st August and both had success:

    • Adrian a 15lbs 8ozs Mirror and a 11lbs Common; both falling to halibut pellet baits

    • Brad – 12 x Carp ranging from 10lbs to 15lbs

  • Arriving on the 22nd August for a short break, Geoff and Ryan Rabbett landed 29 x Carp over 4-days including 18 x Commons to 19lbs 3ozs and 10 x Mirrors to 17lbs 8ozs. Using small PVA bags with Krill pellets, together with tuna boilie and wafter baits they fished mostly the margins landing only one fish under 10lbs and the rest typically between 13lbs and 16lbs.

  • Returning on the 26th August David Hulse used strawberry boilie baits to catch a 13lbs 6ozs Common

  • Paul Duncan arrived on the 26th August for a 36-hour session and using krill wafer baits in the margins finished with 17 x Carp including weights of:

    • Commons – 19lbs, 16lbs 2ozs, 15lbs 4ozs, 14lbs 10ozs, 12lbs 8ozs, 12lbs 2ozs, 12lbs, 2 x 10lbs 4ozs, 9lbs 10ozs, 9lbs 4ozs and 9lbs

    • Mirrors – 16lbs 6ozs, 2 x 12lbs 2ozs, 9lbs 10ozs and 8lbs7ozs

  • Returning on the 31st August, and using krill baits, Roger Austen landed 3 x Commons weighing 15lbs 8ozs, 13lbs and 12lbs 8ozs.

Lake 2 (Carp/Catfish) Logbook Catch Reports

  • Arriving on the 5th August for a 48-hour session, Paul Duncan and Spencer Norton used Cell, Krill wafter and halibut pellet baits and landed both Cats and Carp:

    • Paul – Cats weighing 19lbs, 8lbs and 6lbs plus Commons of 12lbs 7ozs. 11lbs 5ozs and 8lbs 8ozs

    • Spencer – a 32lbs Cat and Commons weighing 16lbs 8ozs, 9lbs and 6lbs

  • Gary Constable returned on the 14th August for a 24-hour session and using double halibut pellet baits caught a 33lbs 8ozs Cat at 0045 on the 15th. Gary also landed a kitten and a small Common.

  • Garry Vaughan and son Freddie arrived on the 19th August for their 24-hour session and both had Success:

    • Gary – Cats weighing 33lbs 1oz and 10lbs plus 1 x Carp

    • Freddie – 1st ever Cat and weighing 30lbs 10ozs

  • Fearing a storm Paul Black and son Daniel began their 24-hour session on the 24th August. Though there was no downpour both had success:

    • Paul – Cats of 16lbs 1oz using squid baits

    • Daniel – Cats of 21lbs 6ozs plus 2 x kittens using halibut pellet baits

Lake 3 (Mixed) Logbook Catch Reports

  • Regular Matthew Smith returned on the 2nd August when his mixed catch included weights of :

    • 14 x Commons to 12lbs 3ozs

    • 5 x Mirrors to 9lbs 1oz

    • 4 x Tench to 5lbs 2ozs

    • 2 x Bream of 5lbs 9ozs and 4lbs 3ozs and when experiencing a tremendous downpour on the 17th August, Matthew used 8mm krill pellet bait with a small PVA bag and had a great session landing:

    • 24 x Carp to 11lbs 4ozs with 6 over 10lbs

    • 4 x Tench to 4lbs 5ozs

    • 1 x Bream of 4lbs 10ozs and returning on the 19th August Matthew used his method feeder and had a great catch including:

    • 32 x Carp

    • 3 x Tench

    • 2 x Bream

  • Regulars Terry and James Crank returned on the 9th August and using method feeders landed:

    • 19 x Carp to 9lbs 3ozs Common

    • a 4lbs 9ozs Bream

    • 2 x Tench to 3lbs 14ozs

  • Marin Crease returned on the 13th August and finished with 14 x Carp to 11lbs 8ozs Common and 4lbs 8ozs Mirror plus Bream of 3lbs and 2lbs 8ozs.

  • Gary visited with his young son Jacob on the 18th August when they ledgered and float fished with red maggot bait which resulted in a great mixed catch including:

    • 15 x Commons from 1lb to 8lbs

      • 2 x Mirrors weighing 8lbs 6ozs and 7lbs

      • 2 x Bream weighing 3lbs and 2lbs

      • 1 x Tench weighing 2lbs 8ozs

      • Dozens of Rudd and Perch

    • Again, returning on the 29th August using red maggot and sweetcorn baits their catch included weights of:

      • 11 x Commons between 4lbs and 7lbs 8ozs

      • 4 x Mirrors from 3lbs 10ozs to 6lbs 2ozs

      • 3 x Bream from 3lbs to 3lbs 10ozs

      • 4 x Tench from 2lbs to 3lbs

      • 5 dozen Rodd and Perch

  • Visiting on the 21st August Mark Davies landed 15 x Carp to 10lbs, 5 x Bream to 3lbs and numerous Rudd

  • Using pacific tuna baits on the 24th July, regular Bryan Butler landed 6 x Carp averaging 6lbs each.

  • Returning for a short break on the 25th August, Carl and Sandra Nevill and together with Mark Pearson had many successes:

    • 25th Aug

      • Carl – 5lbs 6ozs Mirror and Commons weighing 4lbs 5ozs and 3lbs 2ozs

      • Sandra – 6lbs 4ozs Common and a 5lbs 2ozs Mirror

      • Mark – 8lbs 12ozs Mirror and Commons weighing 6lbs 1oz and 4lbs 2ozs

    • 26th Aug – using luncheon meat and sweetcorn baits

      • Carl – 3 x Commons to 9lbs 1oz PB, a 4lbs 14ozs Mirror plus Bream of 3lbs 10ozs and 2lbs 7ozs

      • Sandra – 3 x Commons to 7lbs 1oz PB and Tench weighing 3lbs 1oz and 2lbs 10ozs

      • Mark – 23 x Commons from 4lbs to 7lbs, a 7lbs 9ozs Mirror, a 3lbs 4ozs Bream and Tench weighing 3lbs 6ozs and 3lbs 2ozs.

    • 27th Aug

      • Carl – 4 x Commons from 6lbs to 7lbs plus 4 x Mirrors weighing 5lbs 8ozs, 5lbs 6ozs, 5lbs 4ozs and 5lbs

      • Sandra – 7 x Commons from 4lbs to 8lbs 9ozs plus 3 x Mirrors weighing 8lbs 1oz, 6lbs 15ozs and 5lbs 4ozs

      • Mark – 4 x Commons weighing 9lbs 7ozs, 7lbs 9ozs, 6lbs 4ozs and 5lbs 11ozs plus 4 x Mirrors ranging from 4lbs to 6lbs 5ozs, a 4lbs 1oz Bream and 2 x Tench weighing 3lbs 3ozs and 3lbs 1oz.

    • 28th Aug – moving to Lake 1 (Carp) on their final day

      • Carl – using a method feeder 13lbs 3ozs PB Common

      • Mark – using boilie baits a 16lbs 3ozs PB Common

  • Dominic Minney and Jess Wood visited on the 27th August and using luncheon meat and pellet baits landed 14 x Carp (both Commons and Mirrors):

    • Dominic – to 7lbs 5ozs PB Common

    • Jess – to 10lbs PB Common

  • Stuart Smith visited on the 27th August and landed 9 x Carp ranging from 2lbs to 9lbs.

  • Returning on the 31st August, regular Bryan Butler used pacific tuna baits and caught 19 x Carp ranging from 4lbs to 8lbs 4ozs plus a 2lbs 8ozs Tench.

  • Arriving on the 31st August for a short break, Paul O’Flynn and grandson Harry Woods soon both has success:

    • 31st Aug

      • Using krill pellet bait Paul landed 5 x Carp ranging from 4lbs to 6lbs

      • Harry used wafter pellet bait to catch 5 x Carp ranging from 5lbs to 6lbs plus a 3lbs Bream

For the 2022 season Manor Fisheries is a 100% Members only Fishery for all anglers aged 18 years old or more noting Membership numbers are limited. Applications for 2022 Membership are allocated on a “First come, first served” basis – see www.manor-fisheries.co.uk/night-fishing.
